STUDY GROUPS
You are invited to join our study groups.
The objective of our weekly two hour meetings is to
analyze, discuss, contribute, think, share and learn how
to put theory into practise. We work in small groups with
our planning, our projects and class activities. We analyze
our decisions as teachers in the light of the current learning
theories. In every meeting we read articles related to theory
and we take turns to discuss our work.
These are some of the topics we will probably discuss
and learn about:
language acquisition theories
constructivism
whole language
literature integrated projects
understanding prior knowledge
classroom book writing
planning student-centered projects
working with diversity
ongoing assessment
integrating Spanish and English curriculum
content based learning
the role of grammar
reading and writing for real purposes
fostering creativity in the class
These are some of the schedules we can offer now (check with us
for new openings):
Wednesdays: 9:30 am (in Once)
Thursdays: 10 am (in Belgrano)
Fridays: 10 am (in Belgrano)

Marta
Braylan holds a B.S. in Psychology from University of Florida,
Gainesville, USA, and a postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology
from Fundación EPPEC, Buenos Aires
Argentina. She is a former
University of Buenos Aires instructor. She worked for many years,
as school coordinator and teacher. Specialized in EFL learning and
teaching processes, learning theories, and literature integrated projects.
Presently works as teacher trainer, lecturer and consultant.
